Sculpting with Light
You got light and you got space. The process of putting light on the bodies & faces of the sculptors helps bring forth the extrinsic characters of the sculptors, akin to sculpting a piece of woodblock into some desired form. Charlie uses no flash but rely only his torch light to illuminate the artistsÕ features. With an exposure of about 20 seconds, the night portraits are captured with vivacity that somewhat convey a haunting aura. Marrying photography & fine art has been Charlie LimÕs objective in this series of photographic works.
